"Praise be to the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new
birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from
the dead" (1 Peter 1:3 NIV). We have been made alive with Christ, and we celebrate this reality through joyful worship. In worship we acknowledge God for who He is, we thank God for what He has done for us, and we offer ourselves up as living sacrifices to be used by Him. The central act of worship is our weekly gathering as a congregation for the Sunday service. However, God desires that our worship would not be restricted to this one hour but would flow out into our entire lives.
